check in was easy with good instructions

Bathroom was gross, super loud back room

Location

Fire alarm going off for hours and the staff accusing me of smoking.

Clean comfortable bed, clean towels, plenty hot water. Tea/coffee facilities good. Location on seafront is good near everything.

It's tired, basic but fair at the very low price for Brighton and location.

The location that's about it the rest of the stay was terrible

Functional. I would not describe it above this. The location is amazing - it is right on the seafront in central Brighton.

It is in a poor state, requiring repairs. Windows broken, windows not locking. It needs a lot of TLC. Has so much potential.

Apart from location , nothing else , didn’t realise it really was a very very basic and tired hostel

3 flights of stairs not suitable for elderly people. No such thing as view , stated maybe noisy as in bustling area. Instead of noise we had the constant smell of the Indian restaurant below. Filthy carpets , no side lights ( socket not working) damp patch in the corner, rusty shower rail and windows

Nothing £24 Car parking fee. Plus bus lane charge £70 will never stay in Brighton again £7.50 for portion of chips and crap coffee.

The roof was leaking, damp patches everywhere, carpet was damp.

Great location, reasonable pricing, own bathroom, The bed and bathroom were cleaned properly

The room is in horrible condition, with parts of the ceiling falling down, and signs of water damage on the carpet and walls, the bathroom door not closing properly. The building needs a renovation ASAP. Definitely did not get the advertised sea view, the window opened to the alley next to the Indian restaurant, which was quite smelly.

Fridge, Kettle, size of room.

Shower temperature regulator - water either v cold or quickly too hot, so couldn't have proper shower. Expect explanation for this.

Patio furniture as a table, kettle on the floor, water damage, no shower head, half used soap and toilet roll, weird beeping in the hallway.

The windows had massive gaps in them so the cold wind & sound came in !!! I had 2 buy a plug in heater because the radiator didn’t work The 2nd room had a small draft & the shower didn’t have a head on it so had 2 spray urself with ur finger on the end !! Message the property but didn’t get any joy , message them 5 or times no joy !!! Would never recommend this property

The room was extremely unclean and had stains on the bed sheets. The ceiling had water damage. Felt very uncomfortable due to the poor cleanliness of the room and “hotel”. Even had a shower in socks. No reception or staff so couldn’t even report the issues. Window had a gap around the window causing a bad draft. Radiator didn’t work so had no heating so was extremely cold. When we went to leave the hotel the following morning the door wouldn’t open which could have caused an extreme hazard if there was to be a fire etc. Had to call an emergency number for the “cleaner/maintenance guy “ to come and unlock the door from the outside. Bed were very uncomfortable and could feel the springs of the mattress in your back. Overall was very disappointed and would defiantly not be returning and wouldn’t recommend.

Very cheap, room was big and clean, massive sea view which would have been lovely in the summer months! We knew what we were getting and to be honest, we had a bed and a locked door and that's all we needed!!

Right next to a Burger King that opened until 5am, which attracted lots of people shouting and screaming all night. Lights didn't work, very very cold and radiator barely worked. Lots of banging in the corridors and nearby businesses. And the windows and walls were very thin so could hear everything around us.

Location, Price

The rooms were extremely poor quality. Very basic and dated. There was a vomit right outside the entrance doors, lots of cigarettes buts inside the corridor (behind the front door) and very strong smell of marijuana in the air. The fire board had some sort of fault as the alarm (bleeping) was continuous. The hallway had loads of rubbish on the floor and just looked very creepy.To be honest I dont understand how this could be a hotel. It was more like a homeless shelter. The rooms(yes rooms, we had to swap rooms 3 times) were despicable. Room no.8 was at the top floor, with sea view but the windows were very old with a crack in it. When entered the room it felt like someone has left the window open( very drafty) near windows was an electrical outlet and it was soaking wet due to the poor windows. The heating was not working. There was no reception or anyone we could complaint in person just a number to contact in emergency printed out on the wall. Prior to dialing the number 4 times, a person picked up the phone and said the maintenance man would be there in 20min. Time gone past and noone arrived but, but my phone rang with different room offer. Now we are moved to room no.2, we walked in and to be honest the radiator was extremely hot, but the windows still let in massive draft. I managed to put a towel in gaps of the windows to reduce draft. There was a massive crack in the ceiling above the bed, with chips (of plaster, paint?) Coming down onto the bed. At least it was warm right? Not really!!! At approximately 00.30am I could feel something dripping in bed. The water was pouring from the crack in the ceiling straight at me!! At this point I've lost all hope and felt like giving up. I've dialled the emergency number once again. This time I've said that he needs to come down as hes ceiling was going to come down as water was absolutely pouring out from it and it was DANGEROUS!! The owner then said that he has got a family and cant leave so late at...

The location is central to Brighton and we had a sea view.

The property is hard to find among shops. When we finally found the thin doorway in between restaurants, there was rubbish inside the door, and construction materials in the hallway. Once we reached our room, it was not the most clean, but manageable. We noticed it was directly above a Burger King and our window overlooked the restaurant patio, but during the day the noise level was fine. But- When we came back to go to sleep, the walls were so thin we could hear every door shut in the building and our neighbors talking. Our window was thin and had a huge gap in it. This gap allowed for us to hear everything outside, and a horribly loud whistling sound from the wind didn’t let any of us sleep. We could also feel the wind coming in from the bed. There are cracks in the ceiling and the floor is uneven. Not worth the price. Now it makes sense why the check-in is 100% online and you don’t see a single employee in your entire stay.

Its a great budget option for when you are saving the pennies!. I was visiting family and wanted a cheap central place to stay and that's exactly what I got, the cheapest price. It had basic comfort and from the room I could easily go out to the town, and also get the seaview.

The place was basic but fine. As with all places so close to the Brighton seafront they get noisy at night so be aware of that when you choose where to stay/sleep.

Very easy check in, amazing location and view from the window. Was so lovely to wake up and eat breakfast by the window over looking the sea and the pier. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Room was warm and comfortable, beds were clean and sheets were soft. Had a very good sleep! Absolutely great value for money, a little bit on the rough edged part of accommodation (as in don’t expect it to be perfect) but if you’re used to travelling to hostels etc it will be a breeze.

I would recommend putting small earplug packs in the rooms to the front or bringing your own with you, because the windows are thin you can pretty much hear everything outside, it wasn’t a problem for us, but we were woken up during the night a few times by people outside shouting etc. I had earplugs and popped them in and slept soundly the rest of the night with no issue There was no coffee in the room that wasn’t decaf :( The top of the kettle needed a wipe There’s no daily cleaning service so you don’t get topped up on milk and sugar for tea etc so bring lots! Other than that I cannot fault anymore
